Robbie Geoghegan doubles up at Limerick

Limerick on Tuesday afternoon provided the venue for Robbie Geoghegan to ride the first track double of his career. One of the two winners was aboard Brilliant Question, who gave her Co Galway trainer Kevin Heffernan his first winner inside the rails.

“I’ve had 25 point-to-point winners, and I’ve had 16 horses placed on the track, but that’s the first one to get over the line for me,” said a delighted Heffernan after his mare quickened away close home to win the Follow Limerick Racecourse On Instagram Handicap Hurdle.
