An accomplished novice hurdler last season, Imagine impressed when landing Tuesday’s intriguing Fairyhouse opener, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase, sparking a double for his trainer Gordon Elliott.
In a race brimming with exciting chasing recruits, 9-4 favourite Imagine jumped impeccably for Jack Kennedy, made all, and picked up in great style up the straight to beat eye-catcher Inothewayurthinkin by two and a half lengths, with Pinkerton and Sandor Clegane (outpaced over an inadequate trip) third and fourth.
