Oisin Murphy, three times champion Flat jockey in Britain, made the trip home to his native Kerry a worthwhile one by taking the Kelleher Feeds & Agri Suppliers Ballymullen, Tralee Handicap aboard Dragon Of Malta.

Riding for Pat O’Donnell, he went the daring route along the inside up the short straight and his ever-game mount responded in grand style to shade the verdict over Mercurial and Brave Troop.
