'Persistent rainfall' has stopped one horse racing meeting in the UK
This afternoon's all-weather fixture at Southwell has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.
With 49 millimetres of "persistent rainfall" having fallen within the last 36 hours, course officials were left with no option but to draw stumps.
