Prospects good for Thyestes
Prospects for jumps racing in Ireland in the coming week are looking good.
No problems are reported at either Limerick, where they are scheduled to race on Wednesday, or at Gowran Park on Thursday where the Goffs Thyestes Handicap Chase is the feature.
âAt the moment there are no problems, but they are going to do a bit or rearranging at Limerick,â said Irish Turf Club press officer Cliff Noone.
âThey have reduced the number of runners per race to 14 and they havenât made their mind up yet whether they will use the inside hurdle track or the outside one.
âIt will be a decision they will take tomorrow.
âThe ground is heavy at both tracks.
âWe havenât had the weather the UK has had. Weâve had some sleet and snow showers around, but nothing down this part of the world that would cause problems.
âAt the moment itâs all systems ago.â
