Gosden looks to Curragh for Heavens
Nathaniel’s full-sister Great Heavens could be supplemented for the Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh on July 22.
The John Gosden-trained filly impressed in winning the Lancashire Oaks at Haydock in heavy ground on Saturday and is unbeaten in three starts this season.
Gosden said: “I was impressed with her at Haydock, she finished in a time a second faster than the Old Newton Cup and she went through the ground very well.
“We can look at the Irish Oaks as a possibility, we could supplement her – I never enter in the Irish Classics at the early stages because they are very expensive.”
Supplementary entries for the Curragh showpiece must be made on July 17, at a cost of €40,000.
