Leicester meet rained out

Saturday's meeting at Leicester has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.

Clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson inspected conditions at 7am but was forced to make an early call after further rain on Wednesday night.

He said: "We have abandoned the meeting. We had another nine millimetres of rain overnight and the track is completely waterlogged.

"The forecast is horrendous too, so we have abandoned."
