Folkestone set to inspect

Tomorrow’s meeting at Folkestone is subject to a precautionary inspection at 3.30pm today due to the threat of waterlogging.

The track is reported to be raceable at present, with conditions officially soft, heavy in places, but more rain is forecast.

Estates manager Gavin Armstrong said: ``We will be walking the track again today at 3.30pm to be on the safe side, it's sunny at the moment but we are due some heavy rain later on.''
