BHA announce date for inquiry verdict

The British Horseracing Authority will not announce the results of an inquiry into alleged breaches of the rules by four jockeys until December 14.

Paul Doe, Greg Fairley, Kirsty Milczarek, Jimmy Quinn and former rider Paul Fitzsimons, now a trainer, are among 13 people who faced charges at a hearing that took place earlier this month.

The allegations focus on horses being laid to lose on betting exchanges in 10 races that took place between January 17, 2009 and August 15, 2009.

The hearing closed on November 3 but the BHA do not intend to reveal their verdict for another three weeks.

Their official twitter feed stated: “BHA confirms result of Disciplinary Hearing re: Sines, Crickmore, Doe, Fairley, Fitzsimons, Milczarek, Quinn et al scheduled for December 14.”
