Maybe signed off for the season

Aidan O’Brien’s Maybe will end the season unbeaten after connections decided to draw stumps for the year.

Entries in the Cheveley Park and Prix Marcel Boussac have recently been passed over, and she will now be prepared for a three-year-old campaign.

O’Brien’s wife, Anne-Marie, tweeted: “Maybe won’t run again this year, she will have a break now and hopefully will be trained for next years Classics.”

Maybe has won five races this season, including the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Moyglare Stakes at the Curragh.
