Frankel remains in fine health at Henry Cecil's stable ahead of his final run of the season in next month's Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot.

Positive reports of the extraordinary colt's exercises on the gallops are nothing new, although he has replicated those efforts on the racecourse on eight occasions so far.

The most recent came in the Qipco Sussex Stakes at Goodwood in July, and Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Prince Khalid Abdullah, said: "He worked well the other morning and Henry seems very pleased.

"The horse is in great shape and we couldn't be more happy with him."
