Heffernan takes Think ride

Seamus Heffernan has been handed the coveted ride aboard So You Think in Saturday’s Coral-Eclipse at Sandown.

Heffernan was aboard Aidan O’Brien’s ex-Australian star when he made his European bow at the Curragh at the beginning of May, but Ryan Moore took over for his victory in the Tattersalls Gold Cup and narrow defeat in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot.

However, Moore is committed to riding Sir Michael Stoute’s Workforce in the 10-furlong feature, so Heffernan will be in plate again at the Esher venue.

O’Brien’s wife Anne-Marie tweeted: “So You Think will be declared this morning for the Eclipse on Saturday and Seamus Heffernan will be declared to ride him.”
