Recital fails to win Ballysax Stakes

There was a shock result to the P.W.McGrath Memorial Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown with odds-on favourite Recital only third behind Jim Bolger’s Banimpire.

The Aidan O’Brien-trained Recital ended his juvenile season with a Group One victory in France and lined up in this 10-furlong Group Three second only to Frankel in the ante-post betting for the Derby at Epsom in June.
