Morning inspection planned for Leicester
Wednesday’s meeting at Leicester is subject to an 8am precautionary inspection on raceday morning.
Although both the chase and hurdles track are currently frozen in places, the forecast gives some cause for optimism.
Clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson said: “We wouldn’t race today – it’s frozen solid in places, and has been for four or five days.
“The 24-hour forecast is positive, though, so hopefully that’ll give us enough time to get sorted. There’s some decent temperatures between now and racing and hopefully that will see us OK.”
