Ffos Las' Monday fixture abandoned

Monday’s fixture at Ffos Las has been abandoned due to snow.

The Welsh venue already had a slight covering on the track before a further two inches fell overnight.

With temperatures barely rising above freezing for the foreseeable future, an early decision was taken.

“We had another two inches of snow last night so that gives us about three inches on the track,” said clerk of the course Tim Long.

“Whatever forecast you look at, it doesn’t give us a chance as it is not due to get above freezing for the next few days with it getting as cold as minus 8C overnight.

“It’s the sensible thing to do.”
