Lingfield gets go-ahead

Tomorrow’s meeting at Lingfield will go ahead as planned after the track passed an inspection this afternoon.

Clerk of the course Neil Mackenzie Ross was forced to call off Friday’s meeting after a rapid drop in the temperature caused ice to form on the track.

He had initially called a 3pm inspection to check that the ice had melted, but brought forward that look after conditions improved and gave the meeting the green light.
