Waiter's has Champagne sparkle
Impressive York winner Waiter’s Dream heads 14 possible runners in Saturday’s Neptune Investment Management Champagne Stakes at Doncaster.
Brian Meehan’s youngster was a four-and-a-half-length scorer in last month’s Acomb Stakes and could bid to record his third successive win in this weekend’s Group Two, the main supporting event on the St Leger card.
Meehan has also left in The Long Game, while Aidan O’Brien has a strong hand with Emperor Hadrian, High Ruler, Lake Ontario and Samuel Morse among the entries.
Richard Fahey is currently double-handed with Premier Clarets and Waltz Darling, Saeed bin Suroor could run Newbury maiden winner Saamidd, while Gimcrack winner Approve has been supplemented at a cost of £10,000 (€12,000).
Castlemorris King, Casual Glimpse, Karam Albaari and Toolain complete the field.
