Andrew Balding's charge started his winning spree at Lingfield in June and after two turf wins at Sandown, he reverted to the all-weather surface for this seven-furlong heat.

The three-year-old had been ridden up with the pace when scoring previously but Jimmy Fortune was happy to bide his time before producing his mount inside the final two furlongs.

He comfortably picked up long-time leader Al Farahidi before going on to score by one and three-quarter lengths from Bohemian Melody.

"He has come a long way. He is improving with racing but is still quite a raw physical specimen and there is more to come still", said Balding.

"He is a lovely horse to have in the yard.

"Hopefully we can keep hold of him, but there are bound to be offers and every horse has their price."

Fifth Ave benefited from a drop in grade to land the Digibet.com Nursery in pleasing fashion.

Prominent throughout, Sophie Doyle gave the Jamie Osborne-trained filly a stylish ride in recording a one-and-three-quarter-length victory over Hortensia.

"She had a very busy first part of the season and then we gave her a six-week break and this is her first run back," said Osborne.

"She is on Friday at Sandown and the five up the hill should suit her."

Sweet Clementine (8-1) got her head down when it mattered in a thrilling finish to the Ladies Day September 4th Handicap.

Shane Kelly switched to the outside with two furlongs remaining and William Knight's three-year-old showed a good turn of foot to swoop past the staying-on Red Somerset and score by a nose.

"She needs to feel a grip on the ground and we have returned to the Polytrack because there is quite a lot of rain around," said Knight.

"We will definitely go back to turf providing it is fast ground and we will probably come back in trip to seven furlongs."

Satwa Gold justified 100-30 favouritism with a clear-cut triumph in the Digibet Casino Handicap.

Stef Higgins' four-year-old made the most of a return to the all-weather as Tom Queally pushed him out for a one-and-three-quarter-length victory over Alnwick.

John Gosden's runners have been in flying form of late and Flower Fairy further enhanced the handler's record in the Olly Murs Live On Ladies Day Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

William Buick pressed on inside the final two furlongs aboard the even money favourite and found more when needed to hold off Wulfrida by two lengths.

Jamie Spencer executed a well-judged front-running ride aboard the Paul Cole-trained Falling Angel (3-1) to claim the Digibet.com Fillies' Handicap in game fashion.
