Television inquiries on hold
Further consultation between all relevant parties will take place before the first live broadcast of a stewards’ inquiry.
The idea was approved for this year’s Investec Derby following a detailed consultation process amongst a number of parties, including the British Horseracing Authority and the Professional Jockeys Association.
However, there were no disciplinary-rated incidents during the featured TV races over the two-day fixture.
Royal Ascot had been mooted as a possible venue for another trial but Racing For Change, the organisation behind the initiative, has decided a further discussion period is necessary.
It is now likely to be mid-July before another trial takes place.
