Ludlow meet abandoned

This afternoon's meeting at Ludlow has been abandoned due to snow.

Clerk of the course Bob Davies was forced to call a 7.30am inspection after the track was hit by snow yesterday.

He said: "We've had to abandon. There's still an inch of snow on the track and the temperature is only forecast to get up to 1C by lunchtime.

"We had two inches yesterday afternoon and only half of that has cleared so we have no chance of racing really."
