Kempton delays inspection

Kempton have delayed their planned inspection to 9.30am ahead of this afternoon’s meeting.

Clerk of the course Barney Clifford was due to walk the track at 7.30am but he has put back that check as it is currently snowing at the track.

He explained: “It’s still snowing now so there’s not much point in looking at 7.30am, so we’ve just pushed it back as the snow is due to be here until mid-morning.

“We have about two centimetres at the moment and we will start harrowing the track at around 9am. Track-wise, I don’t have any worries, we just have to make the public areas safe. We don’t race until 4.15pm so we have time on our side.”
