Catterick take a second look
Catterick have announced an 8am inspection on Wednesday ahead of their scheduled meeting on Thursday after an initial check proved inconclusive.
It looks unlikely that the North Yorkshire track will be racing at this stage but officials have been slightly encouraged by a break in the freezing cold weather.
Clerk of the course Fiona Needham reported: “The inspection is at eight on Wednesday morning. We have had a bit of a thaw – obviously we are still unraceable and there’s still snow on the track but we’ve had some light drizzle.
“It’s still a long shot but we felt we should give the meeting every chance.”
