Kempton given green light

This afternoon’s meeting at Kempton has been given the green light after the course passed a 6.30am inspection.

Clerk of the course Barney Clifford announced the early-morning check in view of an unfavourable forecast, but he is delighted to report conditions remain raceable.

“Racing goes ahead. There is a risk of snow this afternoon but that is due to turn to rain and we are fine to race,” said Clifford. “We may get some more persistent snow later tonight, though.”
