Paddy Power Gold Cup winner Tranquil Sea may have one more run before returning to Cheltenham for a crack at the Ryanair Chase.

Edward O’Grady’s seven-year-old ran a blinder in defeat against Golden Silver in the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase on Sunday over a trip short of his best.

He will step back up in trip at the Festival in March, a move O’Grady expects to work in his favour.

“He has come out of the race absolutely fine,” said O’Grady.

“He might have one more run before the Ryanair but I have no idea where that will be.

“I would like to think that stepping back up in trip at Cheltenham would suit him.”
