Leicester fit for racing

This afternoon’s meeting at Leicester has defeated the elements and will go ahead as scheduled.

Although the threat of frost led to two inspections this morning, clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson declared the ground fit for racing.

He said: “All problem areas were covered and the frost has gone out of the ground.

“It’s obviously good news and racing goes ahead.”
