Hereford gets go-ahead

This afternoon’s meeting at Hereford goes ahead after the track passed an inspection.

A forecast frost forced clerk of the course Katie Stephens to call a morning check and although the temperature did drop below freezing overnight, she reports the track to be raceable.

She said: “We got down to minus three overnight so the temperature dropped quite low but it was much more an air frost than a penetrative ground frost.

“Although the track is still white over now, the frost has not got into the ground.”
