Stoute upbeat on Turf chances

Michael Stoute is confident both Conduit and Spanish Moon are capable of making their presence felt in the Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Turf at Santa Anita.

Michael Stoute is confident both Conduit and Spanish Moon are capable of making their presence felt in the Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Turf at Santa Anita.

Conduit took the Grade One prize in scintillating style 12 months ago and has since won the King George at Ascot and most recently finished fourth behind Sea The Stars in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.

Spanish Moon, suspended from running in Britain due to problems entering the stalls, has won the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud and the Prix Foy on his last couple of starts and gets the assistance of Kieren Fallon.

“Conduit looks well and I’m happy with him. He has settled in well. He had a couple of canters during the week and breezed on Thursday morning,” said Stoute.

“I thought his Arc run was creditable and he has taken the journey very well.

“There is very little between him and Spanish Moon. They are in different ownership and both have good chances.”
