Hundreds of mourners have paid their last respects at the funeral of apprentice jockey Jamie Kyne in Lackagh, Co Galway.

Hundreds of mourners have paid their last respects at the funeral of apprentice jockey Jamie Kyne in Lackagh, Co Galway.

The 18-year-old died in a fire at a block of flats in Yorkshire, England almost two weeks ago.

The young jockey's racing helmet and whip were among the sports items placed on his coffin.

He has been laid to rest in Lackagh cemetery.
