Serious Attitude swerves Sprint Cup

Serious Attitude will miss the Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock on Saturday week after suffering a setback.

Last season's Cheveley Park Stakes heroine was found to be stiff after finishing unplaced in the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville earlier this month.

Rae Guest will only run her again this year if completely satisfied with the filly's condition - but expects her to be a leading contender for top sprint honours in 2010.

"She came back from Deauville a bit stiff and we're not going to rush her back in. We're going to make sure she's 100% before we run her again," said the Newmarket handler.

"They aren't many more races to run her in this season and we want to keep her for next year.

"This year was tough for her as a three-year-old filly, but next year will hopefully be different.

"We won't worry too much if we don't run her again this year.

"She's a Group Three filly this year and has shown she's trained on."
