Leicester Sunday card in doubt
Officials at Leicester have announced a 7.30am inspection on Sunday morning ahead of their scheduled fixture on the same day.
The Midlands venue was hit by 24 millimetres of overnight rain and with conditions currently described as heavy, waterlogged in places, clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson felt it prudent to take a look.
He said: “We’ve had so much rain it has been unbelievable.
“We had 24 millimetres overnight, and 76mm in the last six days.
“The course has held up fantastically well, considering, but last night was terrible.
“It’s supposed to be dry for that next 48 hours – that gives us a chance.”
