Perth announce morning inspection

This afternoon’s meeting at Perth must pass an 8.30am inspection.

The Scottish course was hit by 20 millimetres of overnight rain, which has left standing water on parts of the track.

Clerk of the course Anthea Morshead said: “We had horrendous rain after yesterday’s fixture – on top of the 5mm of rain which fell during the meeting.

“The problem is that rain has fallen onto ground opened up by the runners and there are footings of waterlogging.

“There is standing water on the track and it is 50-50 at the moment.”
