Super Sleuth takes Classic test
Brian Meehan has decided to let Super Sleuth take her chance in Sunday’s stanjames.com 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.
The Selkirk filly finished a narrow second behind Lahaleeb in the Dubai Duty Free Stakes on her seasonal reappearance and Meehan had been considering a crack at the French Guineas instead.
However, he has opted to send Super Sleuth to Newmarket, as long as the ground does not become too firm.
“Super Sleuth ran a fabulous race at Newbury and deserves to have a crack at the Guineas,” he told www.brianmeehanatmanton.com.
“We thought she would just need that first run of the season and she should improve. We are looking forward to seeing how she gets on and I am sure she will not let us down.”
