Bud wiser for National exploits

Nigel Twiston-Davies reports Hello Bud to be A1 following his victory in the Coral Scottish Grand National at Ayr on Saturday.

The 11-year-old was giving the Naunton trainer his third success in the race after Captain Dibble (1992) and Earth Summit (1994).

“He’s fine, 100%,” said Twiston-Davies.

“There’s plenty to look forward to next season.

“Hello Bud will probably start off in the Becher Chase at Aintree.

“And we’ve got lots of other nice staying horses like Tricky Trickster and Irish Raptor.”
