McCoy left high and dry
Tony McCoy’s chances of securing his 3,000th jumps winner at Bangor today were scuppered after Jonjo O’Neill withdrew all of his horses at the track.
His other intended mount, the Martin Keighley-trained Picture In The Sky, was later announced as a jockey change, leaving McCoy with a blank day.
Jackdaws Castle trainer O’Neill was forced to pull the plug on all of his runners due to travel problems.
This means McCoy remains poised on the 2,998 mark, and he heads to Kempton tomorrow, where he will ride Albertas Run for O’Neill in the rescheduled Aon Chase which features the eagerly-awaited return of Denman.
