Musselburgh gets go-ahead

This afternoon’s meeting at Musselburgh goes ahead after the track passed a morning inspection.

Clerk of the course Anthea Morshead was satisfied with conditions after checking the track a little earlier than her planned 8am inspection.

She said: “We got down to zero overnight but the Met Office had said the temperature could drop lower as the daylight came.

“That hasn’t happened though, the temperature is above freezing and we are due to have a sunny morning with temperatures rising to plus four by lunchtime.”
