Zaynar will continue his JCB Triumph Hurdle preparations with a spin in Saturday’s Execution Ltd Juvenile Novices’ Hurdle at Ascot, one of the supporting events on Victor Chandler Chase day.

Nicky Henderson’s charge dominates the market for the Cheltenham Festival event following his four-length demolition of Walkon on his British bow at Newbury last month.

The runner-up has since franked the form with a Grade One victory at Chepstow and Henderson is hoping Zaynar can make it a double at the Berkshire venue.

“He is going to run at Ascot and that was always the plan with Victor Chandler being the front man of the syndicate,” said the Seven Barrows handler.

“I think he has improved and Newbury was just the prep race! We’ll just have to wait and see how he gets on.”

Zaynar is as low as 3-1 favourite with both William Hill and Stan James for the Triumph with Walkon next best at 7s with both firms.
