Kelso abandoned due to frost

This afternoon's meeting at Kelso has been abandoned due to frost.

Morshead was eventually forced to admit defeat before the planned inspection time.

“We have been watching the track for any improvement and the areas that do need to improve just aren’t moving,” she said.

“The Met Office are now forecasting a high of three degrees and we have got thick cloud cover which is also keeping the temperatures down.

“The majority of the track is raceable but there are just a few areas and there’s nothing in the forecast to suggest we will be raceable in time.”
