Clay Hollister team wait on Tolworth decision

Clay Hollister could be next seen in a rearranged Tolworth Hurdle should the British Horseracing Authority manage to salvage the Grade One event.

The JP McManus-owned six-year-old was due to have his mettle tested in the race yesterday until Sandown's meeting was abandoned, and any decision on rescheduling the race will not be taken until later this week.

However, if the Tolworth is salvaged connections of Nicky Henderson's representative will closely consider running as they look to step the 13-length debut winner up in class.

McManus' racing manager Frank Berry said: "We will have to wait and see what happens with the weather as it looks a moderate week.

"If the Tolworth was rescheduled we would definitely look at it.

"The Tolworth would have been only his second run but it would have been nice to run him at see where we are with him. The race would have been a good step up.

"He did the job nicely first time out but that was just a novice race. He came out of it well though, and Nicky was happy with him so hopefully we can run him again sometime in the next 10 days."
