Taunton passed for for racing

This afternoon’s meeting at Taunton goes ahead as scheduled.

Clerk of the course Michael Trickey moved forward his intended 10am precautionary inspection after a frost-free start to the morning.

A course spokesman said: “It was pointless waiting until 10am because it was obvious there was no frost in the ground.

“There were one or two areas that still needed checking, though, so it was important to wait until daylight.”
