O'Regan in Catterick contention
Denis O’Regan hopes to be back in action at Catterick this afternoon after bruising his hand at Wetherby on Saturday.
O'Regan missed out on the last two of four Howard Johnson winners at the West Yorkshire track after he was stood down following a fall from Degas Art at the second-last fence in the Tony &
Monica Dickinson Beginners’ Chase.
He has to be passed fit by the doctor before he can resume riding.
“I’m OK after a good night’s rest. I’m at the races, I’m going to get some physio and I’m going to try to ride if I can,” said the jockey.
Timmy Murphy, meanwhile, will get back in the plate at Leicester following his tumble from Charlies Future in the stanjames.com Handicap Chase at Kempton.
“He’s fine and he’s riding today,” said his agent Chris Broad.
