Mansony looking for repeat
Mansony is likely to bid for back-to-back victories in the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase following his recent run at Punchestown.
Trainer Arthur Moore is again targeting the Grade One contest over two miles and one furlong at Leopardstown on December 27 for the nine-year-old.
Mansony is following the same route as 12 months ago as last December he was successful at Leopardstown after finishing second to The Listener in the John Durkan Memorial Chase.
This season he was fourth behind Noland, The Listener and War Of Attrition in a vintage renewal of the latter race.
“He’s going to Leopardstown next. He won it last winter and he ran a similar race in the John Durkan to last year,” said Moore.
“At least he won’t be up against the horses who finished in front of him there.”
Moore could re-route Notable D’Estruval to the Paddy Power Handicap Chase on the same Leopardstown card after the Boylesports.com Gold Cup was lost at Cheltenham’s abandoned meeting on Saturday.
“He’ll probably go to Leopardstown now,” Moore added.
