Clerk of the course Anthea Morshead reports the Borders venue to be fit for racing on Saturday following a noon inspection, but she will look again in the morning due to the prospect of another cold night.

She said: "It's fit for racing today but we are forecast a frost tonight.

"It did drop to minus two but only in the second half of the night and it is a lovely, bright day today.

"We are forecast to drop to minus two tonight with a maximum of plus four tomorrow but the only worry is that as it is such a clear day, the frost could set in a bit earlier.

"We will look at 8am though and make a decision from there."
