Frost threat to Carlisle
Sunday’s meeting at Carlisle hinges on an inspection at 8am due to the threat of frost.
The course is partly frozen and the temperature is expected to get down to minus three degrees centigrade on Saturday night.
“We were partly frozen today and it’s freezing again at the moment,” said head groundsman Tony Wootten.
“Obviously we need to look at it at eight in the morning to see if it’s going to be raceable or not,”
“It’s forecast for minus three and that would make it very difficult, unless the weather changes through the night. We’ll just have to see in the morning.”
