Irish horses win four trophies at Cartier Awards
Irish-trained horses have scooped four trophies at the Cartier Awards, racing's equivalent of the Oscars.
Jim Bolger's Epsom Derby hero New Approach and three of Ballydoyle's stars of 2008 - Yeats, Mastercraftsman and Duke of Marmalade - were all voted top of their class.
The coveted Racehorse of the Year Award went to the unbeaten French-trained filly Zarkava - owned by the Aga Khan - who ended her season with a stunning win in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp.
