Newmarket in Reach for Stack

Beyond Our Reach is likely to bypass next weekend's Meon Valley Stud Fillies' Mile in favour of the Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket on October 3.

Although still a maiden, the juvenile was beaten only a head on her debut at Leopardstown last month and ran with plenty of credit to finish third in the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh last time.

She does hold an entry in next Saturday's Group One at Ascot but Fozzy Stack, son and assistant to trainer Tommy, is favouring a drop in trip.

"I think we will keep Beyond Our Reach for the Cheveley Park," said Stack.

"We are happy with her, but Newmarket is the main target with her now."

Stack also has the one-raced Smart Coco engaged in the Fillies' Mile, although she has been ruled out due to a setback.

"Smart Coco won't be going anywhere as she has had a little setback," he continued.

"We planned to run her at the Curragh last weekend, but she did not scope very well so plans are on hold for her at the minute."
