French raider African Rose is one of 16 acceptors for the rearranged Ladbrokes Sprint Cup at Doncaster on Saturday.

Criquette Head-Maarek’s filly was last seen chasing home Marchand D’Or in the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville and is the sole member of the fairer sex in the Group One line-up.

Utmost Respect was not beaten far into fourth in the same French contest and is one of two representatives for Richard Fahey, along with Knot In Wood.

Aidan O’Brien saddles Abraham Lincoln, Astronomer Royal and US Ranger as he goes in search of yet another top-level success, while Barry Hills is double-handed with Equiano and Prime Defender.

Other notable runners include 2006 winner Reverence, Henry Candy’s Corrybrough and the Richard Hannon-trained Assertive.
