Warwick abandoned due to bad weather

Wednesday’s meeting at Warwick has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.

Clerk of the course Fiona Needham staged an 8am inspection after the track was hit by heavy rain but conditions had not improved.

She said: “We have abandoned as we are still waterlogged and have had another three millimetres of rain this morning with another 10mm forecast.

“We’re not raceable at present and although it was a dry day yesterday, the ground didn’t improve as much as we hoped and it’s not really going to improve now.”
