Beverley have cancelled their planned 3pm inspection for Tuesday’s meeting after conditions at the track improved.

The East Yorkshire venue saw a dry day on Sunday and course manager Sally Iggulden believes there is no need to check the track again.

She said: “We walked the course and after a dry 24 hours, it really had improved. We feel there’s no need for an inspection and although it will be testing, conditions are much better.

“It’s a nice morning here today and although we are forecast rain tomorrow, it is not due to reach us until after racing.”
