Hamilton fit for racing

Hamilton's evening meeting has passed a 7am inspection and will go ahead as scheduled.

Wednesday's card at the Scottish venue had to be abandoned due to waterlogging, after which clerk of the course Hazel Peplinski called a 2pm inspection on Thursday.

Although that check proved inconclusive, the situation had improved markedly upon this morning's assessment of the track.

"We have passed the second inspection and have been forecast a dry day," said Peplinski.

"We have had 2.7mm of overnight rain and the going is still soft - but we are racing."
