Silbano shines for Lyons

Ger Lyons’ Pasar Silbano ran out a ready winner of the Curragh Stakes under a confident ride from Keagan Latham.

The Elnadim filly had won her first two starts on the all-weather at Dundalk and finished placed in two Listed races on her last two outings.

Always close to the pace, Latham took a route down the centre of the track on the 10-1 shot and when the even-money favourite Silver Shoon failed to pick up, it was Call Me Alice who was left to chase home the winner.

“I felt this week that she was just starting to come back to the filly she was earlier this year when she won twice at Dundalk,” said Lyons.

“She’s a big, strong filly and we were trying to settle her in races which was not the right thing to do.”

Morning favourite Connie Mac was a non-runner.
